Includes power points, worksheets and lesson resources, as well as planned homeworks and revision resources. This was taught over 2 85 minute lessons per week and covers the information from the AQA spec specifically, but could be adapted to other specs. Includes assessment lesson and feedback lesson.

PLUS 13 revision lessons (39 lessons total!) I taught the unit in 2X 85 minute lessons per week. Some lessons use Denise Cush’s Buddhism: A Student’s Approach to World Religions and Peter Harvey: An Introduction to Buddhism - pages from these texts are used in some lesson activities.

A 14 page booklet, written in the style of a text book, to support students in creating a dialogue between Buddhism and ethical issues on the specification. Buddhist ethics are compared and contrasted with these views, with space for students to make their own dialogues.Issues discussed are: Theft lying; marriage; homosexuality transgender issues; genetic engineering. wealth, tolerance and freedom of religious expression. A supporting powerpoint is attached to help students think about structuring exam questions. this is designed with the AQA dialogues paper 2A in mind, but could be adapted for other specs with synoptic papers.

5 lessons looking at the journey of life in Judaism and Sikhism - beginning with Jewish coming of age rituals, looking at beliefs about the afterlife and funeral customs. Also discusses SIkh views of the afterlife and funeral customs. 1 hour lessons taught to year 9 but can be scaled down to other KS3 classes. Resources include a bespoke booklet for students to complete during class, full SOW and an optional KO that can be set for homework.
